Those Painful Goodbyes

"Not very painful to listen to"

date: December 14, 2009

Well I had to listen to this after that shameless plug :) Only kidding, I do see similarities in our style and I'm glad you mentioned it. I particularly liked the section from around 3:20 - 4:50 which featured the bells, beautiful work and really portrayed the emotions I know you were trying to get across. Looking forward to hearing more of your stuff, keep it up!

Conor.

An Eternal Destiny

"Spot on"

submission: An Eternal Destiny
date: November 29, 2009

Excellent job, really liked the middle part, nice gradual buildup to the beat and flows consistently throughout. The choice of sounds are spot on particularly the beat in the mid section. Look forward to hearing more of your work.

"Works really well"

date: November 29, 2009

This piece works really well for a couple of reasons. The main one being that you have created a visual mood and this is very important for pieces like these where there are no vocals. The other reason is that the piece never loses the interest of the listener, that's how I felt, I loved the middle section particularly. Well executed and would be perfect for a dark animation, I can visualize it already! Best of luck. Conor.

Author's Response:

thanks a lot Conor, i appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you thought. I guess we achieved exactly what we wanted to with the song (to not let the listener skip the song while they are listening to the song). Thanks again and do look out for more stuff i will be uploading soon... Peace

KJ - Over the Horizon

"nice but lose the percussion and voice"

date: November 29, 2009

really impressed by the first minute or so, really gripping chord sequence and well executred but all your good work was undone the second that marching drum came in. The vocal choir likewise is too artificial sounding and can be lost altoghether, I think you could have a good piece here if you lose those pieces, perhaps look at adding some strings/violin instead. Good work mate.

Melancholy Suite

"Decent Track"

submission: Melancholy Suite
date: February 20, 2009

Nice work! This sort of style doesn't really appeal to me, but I can still appreciate the effort and thought, not to mention the talent that went into this track, you obviously have a flair for this, so don't stop making music.

Some softer instruments would have been nicer, but maybe that's not the sound you were looking for. You incorporated different phases into the track, but to me, these phases all too similar, there wasn't one moment in the track which stood out as different from the rest, thats not to say it's a bad track, it's just my personal opinion and what I would have liked to hear. Nice work on the drums too, very well done. Keep it up!

"Nice work"

submission: Flimbiano
date: January 9, 2009

Hey I really liked this, perhaps some of my judgment is biased for nostalgic reasons as I played Flimbo's quest religiously when I young so it's nice to hear it again. Putting that aside though, you have done a really nice job on applying a nice relaxing ambient feel to the tune, it's well constructed and flows, i especially like the bells you added. Well done.
